GREAT RACE TRAINING PROGRAM
Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks will once again be offering the official training program in preparation for the Great Race distances: 5K, 10K, and Chesebro Half Marathon. The Great Race Training Program will focus on proper progression, running form, injury prevention and proper recovery. Training will include a weekly running schedule, one strength session, two group running sessions per week. This program is designed for beginners to advanced runners.
Dates: January 6 – March 28, 2020
Athletes will be working with Mamba Sports Academy's experienced staff of running coaches and sports performance specialists for a Full-Circle approach to training.
Coaches: Jenny Kenyon, Cathy Wuesthoff, Adam Sanchez
Strength Training. Mondays @ Mamba Sports Academy
Attend any Adult HIIT, Metabolic Resistance Training (MRT) or Yoga Session
Interval Training. Wednesdays @ Outdoor Locations
6 a.m. - 7:15 a.m., or 9 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. (Pepper Tree Park in Newbury Park)
or 6 p.m. - 7:15 pm (Mamba Sports Academy)
Athletes will be placed in groups based on ability, experience and race goals for an interval workout at the Park or a run from Mamba Sports Academy
Saturday @ Various Locations on the Great Race Courses
7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Meet at Chumash Park in Agoura Hills for a long run on the various race courses.

Performance Recovery: Great Race participants get 50% off the monthly rate for Performance Recovery services at Mamba Sports Academy until March 31, 2020. Performance Recovery services include Normatec Compression, Compex E-Stim, Theragun Massage and Whirlpool Ice Bath.
